The San Carlos Apache Reservation is considered a premier area to hunt coues deer. It has become a favorite species among hunters to harvest and a real challenge. Carlos Coues Deer Big Game Hunting lottery draw there is a $26.00 non-refundable fee to enter.
Dates to enter Coues Deer Big Game Hunting lottery drawings will be October 2nd 2021, through to December 18th 2021. Lottery will close on 18th Dec 2021. The public lottery drawing will be held at the San Carlos Apache Recreation & Wildlife Department on the 20th December.
There is a $26.00 non-refundable application fee for entering the Big Game Hunting lottery for the Antelope, Deer, and Elk drawing.
Successful hunters that are drawn will be charged accordingly to their draw choices starting with their first choice through eighteen etc, per species.
An alternative list will be made available by the Recreation & Wildlife Department for hunters unable to hunt and/or were drawn successfully in other areas (if you draw your first choice your credit card will be charged immediately or submitted check will be processed.
For Coues Deer unit A, B, C you DO NOT require a Tribal Hunting guide.
For Coues Deer unit D, and R100c you DO require a Tribal Hunting guide and the hunter cannot separate from their guide.
